TNS Launches Fieldwork Service for MR Firms

May 31 2007

TNS has launched Complete, a bureau based service offering an outsourced fieldwork solution for other market research agencies.

Frank Leinweber, VP of the new division, says the service 'complements market research companies' offerings and enables them to bid on and win more business.' Leinweber has been with TNS for the past 15 years and left his previous role as Director of TNS Automotive in January to set up the bureau. Alongside his new role, he is also responsible for TNS third party business.

While the new unit is currently only able to offer research services inside the US, Leinweber told DRNO this afternoon that he foresees a global roll-out at some point in the future. He added that international companies wanting to conduct research in the US can already use TNS Complete.

The new division provides mail, phone, online or (ftf) qualitative research services, and is staffed by project managers with a wide range of client and business experience. In addition, the firm's 6thdimension online panel members are available to participate in surveys hosted on MR agency servers, and offline panel members are also available to take part in research studies.

Leinweber says the strength of TNS's panel offering will differentiate TNS Complete in the marketplace, combined with response rates which at the moment stand at around 40%.

TNS panels offer around 200 different data points of demographic data, and access to specialty groups such as new and expectant mothers, teens, chronic ailment sufferers, consumers employed in specific industries and occupations, investors, multicultural groups, pet owners and smokers.

The new service is based in Toledo, Ohio and has its own web site at www.tnscomplete.com .
