IRI Names New General Counsel

Chicago-based retail info giant IRI has appointed Teresa Sebastian as Senior VP and General Counsel, responsible for all corporate legal matters.

She joins with 24 years' experience in securities, project finance and analysis and development of global ventures having previously served as Assistant General Counsel and Assistant Corporate Secretary of DTE Energy Company. Prior to this, she was Senior Corporate Counsel of CMS Energy Corporation and previously she held a number of senior legal and financial positions.

Commenting on the appointment, IRI President and CEO Scott Klein said: 'With more than two decades of strong legal and financial experience, Teresa's expertise and counsel will be an invaluable asset to IRI.'

Sebastian has also held a variety of professional and community roles, including Trustee of the Detroit Metropolitan Bar Association Foundation, and Director of the Detroit Executive Service Corps. She has a BA in General Studies from the University of Michigan and an MA in Business Administration from the University of North Florida's Coggin College of Business, as well as a Juris Doctor degree from Michigan State University's Detroit College of Law, and a Master of Law degree in Corporate and Finance Law from Wayne State University Law School.
