Yankee Chief to Head Technology Association

Emily Nagle Green, President and CEO of tech MR firm The Yankee Group, has been elected President of The Massachusetts Innovation and Technology Exchange (MITX / 'my-techs'), a regional trade association for digital technology, marketing and media professionals.

Green has been a member of the MITX board of directors since 2002 and takes over the presidency from Blaise Heltai, Partner at NewVantage Partners.

Commenting on the announcement, Larry Weber, MITX Chairman of the board said: 'New England has a long history of making important contributions to digital technology development, and it is currently enjoying an investment surge in new opportunities such as mobile and digital media technology. We thank Blaise for his years of commitment and contributions to MITX and welcome Emily to take the reins as MITX continues to flourish and focus on this dynamic space.'

Green joined Boston-based Yankee in November 2005 (www.mrweb.com/drno/news4849.htm ), and leads the firm's strategic, financial and global research initiatives. Prior to this she was CEO of Cambridge Energy Research Associates, and served for nine years with Forrester Research. Her roles there included MD of both Forrester Research North America, and of the company's European operations where she led the integration of acquisitions Fletcher Research in the UK and FORIT in Germany. Before this time, Green's career in emerging technologies spanned industries as diverse as entertainment, broadband networks, and video systems.

As a published author of articles on new network and video technologies, Green periodically speaks at international conferences. She holds a BSL in linguistics from Georgetown University and an MSE in artificial intelligence and computer graphics from the University of Pennsylvania.
