Spanish Publisher Creates Research Director Role

ImpreMedia, LLC, the USA's leading Spanish-language print and online news publisher, has this week raised its MR Manager Olga Casabona to Director level. It also hired Mike Cano as Director of Marketing for its top daily paper 'La Opinión'.

Casabona becomes Corporate Director of Research, and will support growth initiatives for all divisions including advertising, circulation, editorial, and online. She spent six years in strategic research at McKinsey & Co and Accenture in Madrid, London and Boston, before joining La Opinión in 2003 as a Senior Market Research Analyst. When the title became part of ImpreMedia she assumed the group role of Market Research Manager.

Cano joins from LANG's Impacto USA where he was President and CEO. He worked previously for the Belo Company, launching its Al Dia paper and developing it into the leading Spanish-language daily newspaper in the Dallas/Fort Worth market. Monica Lozano, La Opinión's Publisher and CEO, says Cano's reputation in the industry is 'formidable', adding, 'he is clearly considered one of the leaders in Hispanic media.'
