IT Market Report Portal Launched

Analytics firm Northern Light has launched an IT analyst research solution called Analyst Direct to help technology marketers search reports from multiple research firms simultaneously.

The portal contains tens of thousands of market research reports from IT analysts such as Forrester, Gartner and IDC. These are full text indexed and subject classified and can be accessed via the firm's search engine and results classification tools.

Using Northern Light's IT research-optimised text analytics engine MI Analyst, users are able to gauge whether a company or its competitors have a positive or negative perception. Additionally, the analytics software performs 'meaning extraction' to tell users what business issues reports address in areas such as corporate strategy, product marketing, market share, and pricing.

David Seuss, CEO of Northern Light said of the new service: 'Searching every analyst site one at a time is too burdensome and takes too long, so relevant reports often get overlooked. Analyst Direct is a convenient way to identify and distill all the relevant content produced by the IT analyst community.'

As well as collating information from IT analyst firms and secondary sources, the portal also contains business news, trade journal and magazine articles which are all subject classified to provide analysis, commentary and perspective.
