Infusion Takes Five

In South Africa, market intelligence agency Infusion has made five appointments in a move which the firm says will strengthen its knowledge base. They include Refiloe Mataboge, previously Executive Director at TNS Research Surveys, who becomes CEO.

At TNS, Mataboge worked as Project Leader on the firm's ongoing social and political Black Diamond study. Prior to this, she headed her own marketing research agency. Alongside her new responsibilities, Mataboge will continue as Head of Strategy at the Brand Leadership Group, which helps clients create, measure, manage and protect their consumer brands. Mataboge has a BA (Hons) in Sociology at the University of Natal.

Arien Strasheim takes on the role of Head Statistician. She was previously Senior Researcher at The University of South Africa's Unisa Bureau for Market Research, and holds a BSc and MSc in Mathematical Statistics. Strasheim has also recently submitted her PhD to Witwatersrand University, Johannesburg.

Martha Dhlamini has joined as Business Analyst from L'Oreal, where she set up and grew a product evaluation centre, and conducted qual and quant studies. Prior to this she worked for Standard Bank's Corporate and Merchant Bank and commenced her career with Unilever.

Jelta Radebe has been brought in as National Field Manager with a 25-year background in training fieldworkers and overseeing quality control in field. Her role will involve expanding the Infusion field force and establishing quality control systems.

Kgomotso Matsunyane becomes Associate Partner, having just completed a stint as Editor of O, The Oprah Magazine in South Africa. Matsunyane has held a number of positions in the media and is a television director, documentary producer and public speaker and runs her own film and TV company.
