Copenhagen Chair for MB's Prof. du Plessis

Erik du Plessis, Chairman of Millward Brown South Africa and author of 'the Advertised Mind: Groundbreaking Insights into How Our Brains Respond to Advertising', has taken up a post as Visiting Professor at the Copenhagen Business School (CBS).

Erik du Plessisdu Plessis, who travels widely delivering speeches on ad and brand research, began his career as a media planner and founded ad, brand and media research agency Impact Information in 1984 - the company was acquired by Millward Brown in 2001. At the CBS he will be teaching a course based on his book, which theorises that the strongest factor in successful marketing is whether an advertisement creates an emotional response in its target audience.

Founded in 1973, Millward Brown has more than 75 offices in 43 countries and is a member of The Kantar Group, the information and consultancy division of WPP.
