Alliance and Practice Launch for TNS

November 12 2007

TNS has announced a strategic alliance with Intellidyn, a US-based database marketing and analytic services company focused on the financial sector. The research giant says the merging of the firms' expertise will help it create a new global practice, TNS Customer Intelligence Consulting.

TNS says customer intelligence, blending demographic and financial data with behavioural and attitudinal research, is a growing field. By merging its own data resources and MR strengths with Intellidyn's database marketing and analytic expertise, it aims initially to help its financial services clients streamline their customer acquisition, cross-selling and retention programmes.

Dave Moxley, appointed MD of the new practice, says the alliance gives his firm 'an excellent foundation' around which it will build 'a global customer intelligence capability... focusing at first on Intellidyn's expertise in finance and then moving on to other growth sectors. Retail and telecoms sectors are expected to follow.

Headquartered near Boston in Hingham, Massachusetts, Intellidyn offers access to a database of detailed transactional, demographic and behavioural data from across the US, combined with advanced analytics via its own platform. CEO and President Peter Harvey comments: 'Intellidyn's data resources include demographic and financial information, while TNS specializes in behavioural and attitudinal data. Working together, we can combine all of these sources of data to bring greater added value for clients and we can extend our model to other industry sectors on a global basis.'

The firms are online at www.intellidyn.com and www.tns-global.com.
