New Head for Boldmouth

Social marketing and measurement agency Boldmouth has hired Scott Hildebrand, previously of Capital One, as its new Chairman and CEO.

Scott HildebrandHe joins with more than 20 years' marketing experience, having most recently worked as Managing Vice President Brand Marketing for Capital One, where he headed consumer marketing for the US credit card division. Prior to this, Hildebrand was VP at database marketing firm Epsilon, a division of American Express, and he held senior marketing consultancy roles with Arthur D Little, the Marriott Corporation, and PepsiCo.

Commenting on his new position, Hildebrand said: 'My role will be to build on Boldmouth's foundation by delivering new ways to bring people together as we change the face of media, user generated content and the part played by agencies in a social marketing context.'

Hildebrand has served on the Board of Directors of the Direct Marketing Association, the Board of Advisors for the Interactive Marketing Institute of Virginia Commonwealth Institute and is a lecturer at the Direct Marketing Educational Foundation's Yeck Center for Advanced Studies. He has a BA in Economics from Georgetown University, and an MBA in Marketing and Finance from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

The company is based in Charlottesville, Virginia and provides custom research, strategic planning, campaign implementation, application development, design services, and analysis.
