MB India Names 'Dream Team'

Newly formed Millward Brown India has made a number of senior appointments to its Management Board. Managing Director Shishir Varma will be joined by Shiv Moulee, Ritesh Ghosal, Praveen Ramachandra and Pranay Singhvi.

Moulee will be Head of Millward Brown Mumbai and will also head regional Marketing Solutions for Africa Asia Pacific, representing the region on the global solutions board. He started work for the company as MD in Shanghai, then moved to Sydney as a Group Account Director. Most recently he worked in Bangkok as the MD of the Quantitative business. He has also worked as global champion for the firm's Link methodology.

Ghosal becomes Head of Millward Brown Delhi. He joins from Bharti Retail, Wal-Mart's partner in India, where he was Head of Brand and Media, following many years with Coca-Cola India in brand, innovations and insights roles including leading the launch of Minute Maid in India. Prior to this, he worked in insights at Reckitt Benckiser and at IMRB, until recently the Millward Brown licensee in India (www.mrweb.com/drno/news7905.htm ).

Ramachandra will be based in Bangalore as Head of Millward Brown South India. He worked most recently in an insights leadership role at Mindshare (South) India, and earlier for IMRB and then in Shanghai and Beijing for Millward Brown China.

Singhvi joins as Finance Director. He brings more than 10 years of experience in financial strategy planning, most recently at AC Nielsen. His focus has included financial management and operations, accounting, audit compliance strategy and the implementation of automated systems.

Varma says the new arrivals create 'a very strong team of marketing minds' with 'experience of working for and with many of the biggest brands in the world'. He adds: 'I am really excited that we can offer this level of expertise to our clients who are enjoying a period of great opportunity as one of the fastest growing regions in the world.' Travyn Rhall, CEO for Africa Asia Pacific, describes the Indian leadership as 'a dream team'.
