NI Firm Seeks 100 for Call Centre

May 21 2008

In Northern Ireland, outsourcing firm Forward Emphasis is setting up a second contact centre in Donegal where it plans to create 100 new jobs in market research, customer care, and claims processing and adjudication over the next three years.

The firm already employs 200 staff at its Malin headquarters, from where it provides outbound market research, inbound call handling and back office administration for companies in the banking and financial services sector, as well as for government and not-for-profit organisations in the UK.

MD Patrick Loughrey said that the availability of an already suitably trained workforce in the area was a major factor in the company's decision regarding the location of its new centre. The availability of 'ready to be occupied' premises was also a key consideration.

Loughrey added that during the next five years, Forward Emphasis hopes to expand its workforce by 1,000 people, mostly within Donegal. He said about 700 of those jobs would be in the banking and financial services sector and about 300 in the hospitality sector.

The firm's recruitment programme will commence at the end of the summer and the new centre will be operational by the end of the year.
