IIPS Appoints Citizen Insight Specialist

June 25 2008

In the UK, Alex Oliver has joined the IIPS (The Institute for Insight in the Public Services) - the joint initiative between BMRB Social Research and its sister company, Henley Centre HeadlightVision (HCHLV) - as Head of Service Transformation.

In her new role, Oliver is tasked with client development and the growth of the firms' specialist service transformation offers. She joins from the Cabinet Office, where she set up and led the Customer Insight Forum and oversaw a cross-government programme of work to embed effective customer insight within departmental processes. Oliver previously worked at online bank Egg, where she was responsible for proposition and market development.

Commenting on her appointment, Oliver said: 'I believe there is huge potential to improve the experience of ordinary people using public services, through the effective application of citizen insight. The combined skills of BMRB and HCHLV makes the IIPS well placed to help government to meet the challenge of service transformation.'

IIPS Chair Dr Michelle Harrison adds: 'Alex's expertise in citizen insight and its application to Whitehall issues will be of great value to our public sector clients, and our teams of researchers and consultants at BMRB and Henley.'

The IIPS was established to develop and promote the use of citizen insight to support the transformation of public service delivery in the UK. Web sites: www.theiips.com , www.bmrb.co.uk and www.hchlv.com .
