Buy Adds Technology for Kerry Group

US-based RJ/RG, LLC, a firm offering Internet-based multi-media marketing intelligence, data research, distance learning and event services management, has been acquired by brand marketing and events promotion specialist The Kerry Group. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Both firms are based in St. Louis, MO. The buy adds web-based technology and expertise to Kerry's offer, and sees key RJ/RG developers Ronald J. Garnier and Ryan Jarrell join Kerry as Senior VP of Strategic Planning & Administration and Director of Information Technology Services, respectively. Kerry also has hired two additional programmers.

Improved services will include real-time statistical analysis services, new methods of client communication, 'virtual events,' and event measurements to improve clients' return on investment, according to Kerry's President Robert McCann.

The firm plans applications including real-time analysis of mobile marketing programs; on-site field survey capabilities; remote data collection and analysis; and 'instant expert' programs, says Garnier.

Garnier has more than 25 years of technology development and management experience. He previously owned an animation, film and broadcast video production company and, also, an interactive multimedia and Internet-based production firm. Garnier earned a Masters degree in teaching from Webster University.

Jarrell was formerly Director of Program Development and Systems Administration at Thin Ice Communications for eight years and at NETBias, Inc. for six years. He studied Geo-Physics at the University of Missouri-Rolla.
