Launch for Online Competitor Watch

Internet monitoring firm Watch360 has launched an automated service to track when competitors update their web sites with information about activities, product developments and news; and then report consolidated findings through a daily e-mail alert.

The new 'Watch360 Website Alerts!' system gathers information from press releases, media coverage, white papers, management changes and other updates posted on competitors' web sites. This information is then fed back to the client each morning to keep sales and marketing executives abreast of competitor activity.

Users specify which competitors they want to track, and the firm then maintains a database on more than 20,000 companies to determine which pages need to be monitored. Subscribers can customize their account at any time to add or remove companies or web pages.

'By monitoring their web sites, our system strategically eavesdrops on your competitors to provide information and insights you simply cannot get any other way,' according to CEO Srikanth Chari.
