Confirmit Launches Pulsar via ASP

July 25 2008

MR software provider Confirmit has launched its web-based survey analysis package Confirmit Pulsar as an On-Demand (ASP) service, to enable users to access the tool from a shared, secure environment via the Internet.

Confirmit Pulsar Web promises research staff and customers secure access to survey data via a web browser. It enables real-time publishing, analysis and distribution of data, which can be collected using any of the company's supported methodologies: telephone (CATI), personal interviewing (CAPI), paper scanning, or Internet surveys.

The firm says the On-Premise tool is better suited to larger organizations that prefer to manage their technology solutions in-house, or those that conduct a large number of reporting projects; while the new launch gives research organizations or departments conducting smaller scale or ad hoc projects a choice about how they access the product.

Paul Watts, Senior Product Manager, Analytics explains: 'Our On-Demand service offers exactly the same benefits and functionality as the existing On-Premise tool. It can dramatically reduce the time and cost associated with the distribution of survey results and its web browser format means it is easy to use and access from anywhere in the world.'

The tool also provides organizations with project and report-sharing options for collaboration across departments and locations, which the company says makes it ideal for multi-country and cross-departmental research projects.

Confirmit has more than 220 employees working from its Oslo headquarters and offices in Guildford, London, Moscow, New York, San Francisco, and Yaroslavl. In January, the firm posted a 68% increase in revenue for the final quarter of 2007, including 38% organic growth.
