Experian appoints MD for UK & Ireland

Global information services giant Experian has appointed Charlotte Hogg as MD of UK & Ireland, responsible for driving growth across the firm's Decision Analytics, Marketing Services, Interactive, Strategic Accounts and Credit Services business lines.

Charlotte HoggPrior to her appointment, Hogg was an Executive of Discover Financial Services and ran the NYSE listed company's UK credit card business, Goldfish. She has also worked for Morgan Stanley as Managing Director, Strategy Planning, and was a Principal at McKinsey & Company.

In her new role, commencing 1 September, Hogg will report to CEO UK & EMEA Victor Nichols, who comments: 'Charlotte's proven strategic management and leadership skills, together with our exceptionally strong domestic management team, will drive the next phase of Experian's growth in the UK and Ireland. Her understanding of our key markets will ensure that we use the combination of our data and analytics capabilities to deliver even greater performance for our clients' businesses.'

In the UK and Ireland, Experian employs more than 4,000 people in over 30 offices, and has sales of £480m. Earlier in the week, the firm promoted Mel Mason to the new post of Global Chief Information Officer.
