Asian Roll Out for Research Now

Online fieldwork provider Research Now has established a joint venture in Shanghai and opened an office in Singapore, while launching eight new Asian panels.

To support its expansion into Asia, the firm has taken a 75% stake in the operation in Shanghai with local investors holding the balance, and opened a wholly-owned subsidiary in Singapore.

It has also launched eight new proprietary online panels - in China, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, South Korea and India - to support growing demand for research into Asian opinion.

The new team will be headed by Jason Buchanan, Managing Director for Asia-Pacific, who comments: 'Expansion into this region follows demand from our existing client base. Establishing offices on the ground in Asia will enable us to extend the highest quality level of service to new and existing clients local to the region.'

Earlier in the year, in preparation for these panel launches, the firm appointed Peter Blansjaar to head up its operations, project delivery and quality assurance systems in the Asia Pacific region.

To date in 2008, Research Now has seen revenues double, while opening offices in the US in Dallas and Los Angeles; and a Munich office, its third in Germany.
