Focus and Datatrade to Provide Chinese Insights

September 22 2008

US firm Focus Worldwide has partnered with data analytics firm Datatrade in Hong Kong in a move which they say will help multi-national companies launch or grow their marketing throughout Greater China.

Focus maintains a database of virtually every household in the US and gathers demographic, census and credit data, as well as lifestyle and modelled information. The firm specializes in data aggregation, segmentation, manipulation and analytics.

Datatrade was founded in 1983 to provide proprietary mailing lists. Today, along with list rental, the firm also offers analytics and data mining, data cleaning, data conversion and database management and hosting in Asian markets. Along with its Hong Kong headquarters, the firm has additional offices in Shanghai, Guangzhou and Manila.

The partners say that their strategic alliance will enable US companies looking to expand overseas to conduct marketing research and testing, while also allowing foreign companies to prospect in the US.
