Confirmit Partnership to Add Verbatim Coding

November 24 2008

MR software provider Confirmit says it will integrate its new platform more closely with the Ascribe software of partner firm Language Logic, which provides simple coding of open-ended responses. The platform is due for release in early 2009.

Ascribe's verbatim management system turns open-ended survey responses into quantifiable feedback: the add-on means this data can be simply imported back into the Confirmit platform for analysis and reporting using the Reportal product, which the firm says will allow them to analyze responses within the context of a whole survey or study. It also presents the possibility of Confirmit clients using the new adaptive linguistic coding application, Ascribe VCS, which Language Logic says 'allows for almost total automation of the coding process.'

Pat Molloy, Chief Strategy Officer at Confirmit, says it is 'traditionally very difficult for organizations running feedback programs or studies to gain proper insight from responses that are open-ended.'

Confirmit has more than 200 employees and offices in Oslo (headquarters), Guildford, London, Moscow, New York, San Francisco, and Yaroslavl, as well as partner resellers in Amsterdam, Sydney, and Tokyo. Web site: www.confirmit.com .
