New SA Chief Exec for Synovate

Synovate has promoted Jon Salters to CEO of Synovate South Africa. He has been MD for the past four years. Former CEO Albert McLean has decided to take an extended break from work.

McLean is the founder of Proactive Insight, which was acquired and became Synovate South Africa. He commented: 'Leading Synovate Africa has been an incredibly rewarding experience and I am proud of what we have achieved', and added: 'Jon has been instrumental to the continued growth that Synovate has achieved, in South Africa and also across the African continent. I am confident that his leadership and expertise will be an ongoing asset to Synovate.'

In July, Synovate's parent Aegis acquired independent research agency Steadman Group and its offices in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Ghana, Mozambique and South Africa - with the aim of adding media monitoring and strategic consulting to Synovate's existing MR expertise.
