'Holistic' Employee Engagement Launch

December 18 2008

In the US, online research firm Modern Survey has introduced a research-based system for measuring employee engagement levels alongside how well an organization is able to turn that engagement into business results.

Minneapolis-based Modern Survey develops proprietary technologies to help its clients manage the employee life cycle, measure and evaluate customer satisfaction and gain insight into changing markets. Its new Employee Engagement Model combines proprietary survey technology and a research-proven engagement model, with support from a team of consultants and client services experts.

Using a survey containing 45 core items, the model measures five dimensions identified by the firm's research as key drivers of employee engagement throughout a wide variety of industries and organizational settings.

Additionally, the system measures aspects of the supervisory and managerial climate that contribute to these drivers increasing or reducing employee engagement levels. This is rounded off with analysis of 'performance enablers' that the firm's studies have identified as being contributors to actual business success.

The firm also provides a benchmarking service for clients interested in finding out how their employee engagement levels compare with others in their industry or region.
