Ad Targeting Firm Acquired

Online publishing network Glam Media, Inc. has acquired a display ad targeting and optimization company, AdaptiveAds.

Based in San Francisco and Mumbai, India, AdaptiveAds promises smart, creative audience targeting, adaptive ad optimization and brand engagement tracking for Glam Media's brand ads platform, Glam Media Evolution™. The buy gives Glam Media an office in Mumbai which will function as a product development centre, and it will establish an engineering presence in Pune, India.

AdaptiveAds' US-based employees will join the new parent's ad products team in Brisbane, CA. AdaptiveAds co-founder and CEO Yogesh Sharma will become Vice President & General Manager of Ad Solutions at Glam Media, while co-founder Sanjay Sharma will lead the team in India.

Glam is also reorganizing its technology, engineering and content teams, and expects to hire engineering employees in India. In all, an additional twenty new staff following the acquisition will bring its global workforce to around 200.
