Pollsb Gets $1.3m for Online Polling Platform

February 11 2009

Youth networking site / fun polling platform Pollsb has secured $1.3m in funding, which it plans to spend on further development of its polling tools.

The Israel-based startup (the name stands for Polls Boutique) previously raised $700k. Through its site, users can create polls and mini-surveys containing text, images, video and/or audio. These polls can then be shared with the Pollsb community and by e-mail.

The latest round of funding was led by DFJ Tamir Fishman Ventures with investment from Zelkova Ventures and PhilQuo Ventures.

Pollsb reaches approximately 37,207 people in the US each month and enables users to create free polls on any topic, vote on existing polls, and post new polls. After voting, users get to see their 'buddy' icon represented near the poll option of their choice, and see how others are voting.
