Beta for Motally's iPhone Analytics Service

August 5 2009

US mobile analytics provider Motally has announced the beta launch of its mobile analytics service for iPhone and Blackberry, with support for Android and others to follow shortly.

The mobile application tracker includes features such as specific event tracking, demographic data collection and configurable delivery mechanisms.

It has been designed to allow developers and publishers to learn more about their users, optimize product offerings, and maximize ROI on ad campaigns.

'The possibilities of data we can capture and report on are nearly endless and give publishers the most flexibility to understand usage of their applications,' said founder and CEO Arte Merritt, who was formally a Product Manager at Yahoo! Mobile.

Merritt says that the addition of application analytics to his firm's existing mobile web analytics provides one common interface for publishers and advertisers to track all their mobile services - mobile web and applications.

In June, San Francisco-headquartered Motally received Series A financing, which it is using to scale its mobile web site analysis platform and attract new customers.
