Firm Launches with Suite of Web Behavioural Tools

November 17 2009

In the UK, digital marketing agency Magiq has launched with the introduction of a suite of online products, designed to enable marketers to personalize web site content based on real-time behavioural and activity data as well as visitors' historic profiles.

The new trigger-based services allow marketers to set-up online personalization campaigns, to ensure increased content relevance to site visitors.

It computes and records events and metrics - such as recency, frequency and monetary information, contact details, location and purchase history - and saves this information in the customer database it builds for the site.

Real-time visitor activity and captured historical data are then combined to dynamically adjust page content, and optimize the message presented to each individual site visitor.

The suite comprises:

  • Magiq Chameleon - a landing page optimizer that adapts content for each visitor in real-time according to the search term they used to find the site.
  • Magiq Locale - a content 'pusher' that allows marketers to automatically insert location-specific content in real-time, as determined by exactly where the visitor is in the world.
  • Magiq Retain - an automated anti-defection solution which provides the site owner lists of customers who appear to be at risk of abandoning the brand, before they actually leave the site.
  • Magiq Prospect - a lead generation solution that generates lists of returning, interested 'ready-to-buy' online visitors.
  • Magiq Smart - a trigger-based marketing solution that presents content based upon a combination of the current session, but also the details of the customer's history.
'Once Magiq has been enabled on a site - typically a 5 minute task - marketers are then free to use any of the services which will reduce the demand on IT teams for urgent web site changes,' stated VP Operations Malcolm Duckett. 'This launch is based on understanding online customers, appreciating them as individuals and engaging in relevant dialogue with them.'

The new firm is a sister company to Speed-trap - which monitors and evaluates web site usage - to utilise the latter's technology in a new way.
