Yankee Group Expands Following Investment

Technology consulting firm Yankee Group has announced a significant expansion of its forecasting offer; a major initiative to publish documentation on its methodology and assumptions; and the addition of seven new analysts to its research team.

In April, the firm unveiled a $10 million investment plan to deepen its research into Anywhere global connectivity.

The latest announcement extends the group's Enhanced Market Adoption Monitor and Forecasts: coverage will soon be expanded to include Consumer Mobile Applications, Enterprise Mobile Applications, Cloud Computing and Connected Devices.

The Group's new ValiData pop-up technology enables clients to click on items of data to see the source, basis of assumptions and links to additional resources for more than 1 million data points, making Yankee 'the only research firm to expose this level of proprietary insight'.

The new analysts deepen the firm's expertise in key areas surrounding the development of and demand for next-gen networks, including network software, security, enterprise mobility, mobile payments and 3G/4G. The seven are:

• Nick Holland, Senior Analyst, m-commerce, m-payments and Security
• Ted Julian, Principal Analyst, Network Intelligence and Security
• John Keough, Research Associate, Enterprise Mobility and Mobile Applications
• Chris Marsh, Senior Analyst, European Enterprise Mobility
• Susan McNeice, Vice President, Network Software Systems
• Sandra Palumbo, Research Fellow, Service Provider Strategies
• Ken Rehbehn , Principal Analyst, Mobile Infrastructure.

The company is still recruiting for positions in Boston, London and other locations.
