Euro RSCG Buys to Extend Behavioral Arm

US-based data and analytics specialist Euro RSCG 4D Discovery has acquired full-service Internet marketing agency Congruent Media, in a bid to expand its digital and behavioral marketing capabilities. Terms were not disclosed.

Discovery combines behavioral, attitudinal and lifestyle data to provide clients with insights to help them build loyalty, increase share and create personal connections to their brands.

The firm says its acquisition of Baltimore, Maryland-based Congruent Media will extend its North American digital capabilities and position it as 'the leader' in behavioral marketing strategy, campaign development and optimization.

As part of the deal, Congruent Media founding Partners Dan Dawes and Jeffrey Rudolf will join Euro RSCG 4D Discovery as Senior Vice President of Digital and Senior Vice President of Digital Technology, respectively.

'This strategic move will continue to build momentum for the future-focused Euro RSCG 4D Discovery network,' explained Ron Bess, President of Euro RSCG North America. 'Dan and Jeffrey have built a world-class interactive agency, and we are confident that this acquisition will enhance Discovery's behavioral marketing strength and infuse our digital at the core model.'

Last week, Euro RSCG announced it had taken a majority stake in Acmic Interactive in India, which provides digital services such as search engine, social media and mobile marketing, and analytics. The company has since been renamed Euro RSCG 4D Matrix.
