Audience Data Specialist Bags $4.4m

In the US, Proximic - a provider of contextual and audience interest data services for use in ad targeting - has secured $4.4m in growth funding.

Philipp PieperPalo Alto, CA-based Proximic, which has additional offices in Beijing, China and Munich, Germany, offers online advertisers data about online ad inventory through its suite of web services. These enable its clients to target ads precisely against page-level context or user interest.

The firm's funding, which has been led by Wellington Partners with investments from existing investors such as Holtzbrinck Group, will be used to accelerate product development, sales, and marketing activities.
