June 15 2012

Stockholm-based information exchange Mancx has secured $1.65m in financing, which it will use to expand its paid business Q&A community through social networks such as LinkedIn and Viadeo. The firm has also opened US headquarters in San Francisco, CA.

Mattias GuilotteDescribed as a 'sort of classified ads site for business intelligence', Mancx is pitched at business people who need answers, and professionals who want to make money from their knowledge. The patent-pending technology behind the Mancx Business Answers community matches incoming questions with the right person's expertise, while managing all aspects of the transaction.

New funding has been led by Almi Invest and Chalmers Innovation Seed Fund, and adds to the $1.1m secured last year, bringing the total raised to date to $3m.

Mattias Guilotte (pictured), Mancx CMO and co-founder, comments: 'Mancx Business Answers is the next generation of Q&A tools. It is the first service with a global payment solution and a trusted community for business answers you can't find anywhere else.'

In March, Mancx announced it was working with San Francisco-based 'business accelerator' BootstrapLabs, which provides companies with mentoring by a group of Silicon Valley investors. The partnership has allowed Mancx to establish its business in the US, which is headed by Guilotte.
