January 25 2013

UK-based consumer insight agency Join the Dots has appointed former TNS director Mark Walton and former Buzzback manager Ed Wheeler to drive new business across all areas of the company, from its newly established office in London.

Mark Walton and Ed WheelerFounded in 1998 by former RI Director Pete Comley, Join the Dots (previously Virtual Surveys) pioneered web site research in Europe, and now also provides advertising and customer experience research, product and service optimisation and online community building and management from its offices in Manchester, Hampshire and central London.

Walton joins with a 30-year market research background, spent working in London, Sydney, and Hong Kong. At TNS, he latterly served as Director of Interactive Services, responsible for the development and launch of online panels and interactive services across Asia Pacific, Latin America, Middle East and Africa. He then joined Research Now as SVP, Global Developments, where he was responsible for the international expansion of online services, and the development of online applications. Later, Walton worked at YouthSight (formerly OpinionPanel) and ran his own consultancy.

Wheeler, who has worked in research for private and public sector clients for nearly ten years, most recently worked at BuzzBack Market Research in a business development role. Prior to this he was an Account Manager at ORC International, and a Research Executive at BDRC.

Both will work alongside Sales and Marketing Director Graeme Lawrence, who comments: 'Join the Dots has grown consistently since its inception and we're keen to capitalise on our success by driving fast and significant growth in the next few years. Mark and Ed will be fundamental to helping us achieve our goals.'
