Magid Hires Two to Lead New TV/Video Practice

In New York, media and entertainment research firm Frank N. Magid Associates has hired Mike Bloxham and Debby Ruth to lead its newly-formed National Television and Video research and consulting practice.

Magid in 1957, studies how human behavior is affected by content and advertising across traditional and new media platforms, and has offices in Minneapolis, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, Atlanta, San Francisco and Marion, Iowa.

Bloxham is a co-founder of consumer media studies company the Media Behavior Institute. During his career, he also worked briefly at insight-driven marketing consultancy Trendline Interactive as VP of Insights and Consulting, was Director of Insight & Research at Ball State University's Center for Media Design, and served as CEO of Netpoll.

Ruth joins with a background that includes sales and marketing roles across the cable distribution, content, technology and advertising sectors. Most recently, she served as SVP, Global Sales & Marketing at OpenTV, prior to which she spent eleven years at Cox Media in a range of senior marketing, research and sales roles.
