Instar Hires Heads for New Business Units

Pharma MR specialist Instar has appointed Art McKee in Philadelphia to head up its new US business unit, and Manfred Eberlein in Hamburg to oversee its new European business division. The firm has also hired ten new research and delivery team members.

New York-based Instar, which is owned by P\S\L, sources respondents from its community of physicians.

McKee joins as President from Affinova, where he served as Global VP of Strategic Account Development. During his 22-year career he has also held senior leadership positions at Double Helix, Ziment, TNS Healthcare and Wyeth. In his new role, McKee will work closely with current US Business Unit Head Martin Rouleau, who is based in Montreal.

Eberlein previously worked as MD at Medefield, and during his 25-year career has held a number of senior positions with Ipsos Healthcare, Synovate Healthcare and Research International. At Instar, he will serve as Managing Director, and work closely with existing European Business Unit Head Jean-Olivier Marty, who is based in London.
