Findyr Partners with First Mile Geo

November 2 2015

Hyper-local micro data platform Findyr has announced a partnership with First Mile Geo, a company offering location-focused data sharing tools. The combination will offer clients 'on-demand, real-world, in-context insights and business analytics from across the globe'.

Anthony VinciNew York-based Findyr, officially in business for just three months operates a 'peer-to-peer labor marketplace' functioning as a kind of 'off-line search engine'. Users of its app are given tasks but go off into the real world to find information, perform surveys and take photos or shoot videos to return to the clients. Information - usually returned within 48 hours - is 'validated' by the company before going on to clients.

Its new Washington, DC-based partner, First Mile Geo, allows users within a company or organisation to collect, map and monitor data for any location, in any language, via a variety of technologies and whenever they wish - this is 'blended' with other data from colleagues or open / public sources to provide businesses with a simple, unified system for trend-spotting and other uses. As of now, First Mile Geo users can make use of the Findyr network to capture real-time, custom local data and feed it into their platform.

Anthony Vinci (pictured), Findyr's CEO and Founder, says the combination will result in 'unique insights and global understanding realized on a level and with a speed that we have never seen before'. First Mile CEO Matt McNabb comments: 'We believe in and are investing considerably in a future of business intelligence. The ability to identify gaps in your understanding, task locals to efficiently fill those gaps, and perform roll-up analysis that compares everything known about a given location with the data you've had collected on your behalf, is central to that future'.
