Added Value Australia Names New MD

STW Group-owned brand development and insight consultancy Added Value has promoted Dennis Wong to the position of Managing Director, Australia, replacing James Pike who has moved to sister agency Bohemia.

Dennis WongThe group, which owns a number of data and MR agencies, bought a majority stake in Colmar Brunton Australia in late 2013, adding to a portfolio that includes the Australian arm of UK-based behavioural insights firm Beyond Analysis, online research consultancy AMR, panel management specialist ORU, data collection agency Touchpoint, and Added Value. Last month, WPP upped its stake in STW to 23.65%.

Wong (pictured) has worked for Added Value since 2008, and previously served as Business Unit Director at brand activation agency The Marketing Store, where he worked for more than eight years. In his new role, he will lead a business whose senior team includes Mark Kennedy, Sally Smallman and Colin McArthur. Pike, whom he replaces, has joined marcoms specialist Bohemia in the newly created position of Head of Create, having been Added Value MD since 2011, and worked for the firm for more than a decade.
