Medallia Launches Unstructured Data Platform

March 15 2022

US-based customer experience management specialist Medallia has launched a solution called Athena Studio, allowing organizations to create custom AI models and analytics for unstructured data, without any coding.

Sarika KhannaRecently acquired by software investment firm Thoma Bravo, in an all-cash transaction valuing the company at $6.4 billion, Medallia offers a platform called the Experience Cloud which helps users understand and manage the experiences of customers, employees and citizens. Last year, the firm acquired digital experience analytics firm Decibel, having previously bought out real-time speech-to-text platform Voci Technologies, video feedback platform LivingLens, and behavioural analytics platform Cooladata.

The new Athena Studio has been launched to help companies build, train and publish artificial intelligence and machine learning models for text and conversation analytics - analyzing customer feedback from e-mail, chat logs, social media, voice and video transcripts. Users are able to identify patterns and trends in any text document from open-ended feedback, without specialist experience. Data can be integrated from hundreds of apps and analyzed across every experience to create a 'complete view' of the customer journey.

Sarika Khanna (pictured), Medallia EVP and Chief Product Officer, comments: 'Companies shouldn't have to invest six months and a full team of analysts to get value out of unstructured data. With Athena Studio, companies can build, train, and customise complex AI and machine learning models to enable text and conversation analytics within hours and days, not months'.
