eDigitalResearch Debuts WoM Appraisal Tool

UK-based online performance researcher eDigitalResearch has launched a word of mouth (WoM) marketing tool, to allow customers to record their personal feedback and views on products and services.

Embedded within a firm's web pages, the new eProductRating tool presents visitors with a 'rate this product' or 'review this product' panel on the relevant product page. Current results are displayed as automatically generated star ratings, with a 'full review' button taking customers to review history and full product rating information.

Users can choose to view reviews from all site visitors, or only purchasers with e-mail post-purchase survey. Responses are collected for automatic analysis within the eDigitalResearch reporting system, which can then be fed to the product teams.

'eProductRating allows e-retailers to react to genuine, free expression from their target audience,' explained Director Michelle Fuller. 'The subsequent analysis and automatic ratings also allow for immediate appraisal of product progress.'

The new tool can be integrated with the firm's other solutions to combine data from product ratings with survey, panel, analytics and forum data to build a holistic view of customers' perceptions.

Hampshire-based eDigitalResearch recently launched a new version of its communities tool, incorporating facilities for participants to create profiles and upload photographs and personal information.
