Kantar Public Reveals 3-Tier German Investment Plan

Kantar Public, the group's government and public sector practice, has announced a three-part investment strategy for its business in Germany. This includes the launch of a new Public Data Innovation Hub to support German data science, digital start-ups and micro businesses.

Established in 2016, Kantar Public offers evidence and advisory services for the delivery of public policy, services and communications. The brand was also launched in Germany in 2016, with roots in Kantar-owned research group TNS Infratest. It now has teams in Berlin and Munich which provide social research and policy expertise to its clients in government, academia and international governmental bodies; as well as political polling with its majority owned business Infratest Dimap.

The Public Data Innovation Hub, which launches in Germany in July, will provide partnership support for start-ups that operate in the data, technology and AI space, with the first partnership with Berlin-based data science and analytics business Inspirient. The second part of the investment strategy is to build out Kantar Public Germany's proprietary research infrastructure to create a new data ecosystem, with infrastructure and technology investments, including the rollout of the PUBLIC Voice panel to the German market. The third and final area of investment is in policy advisory capabilities in sustainability, evaluation and behavioural science, with new teams focusing exclusively on policy evaluation and on behavioural economics in the public sector in Germany.
