infoUSA Plans India, China Databases

Database giant infoUSA, the parent of Opinion Research Corporation, has announced plans to compile telephone-verified B2B and B2C databases for China and India, in partnership with a number of companies in the regions.

The firm was founded in 1972 and initially put together a database in the United States, then expanded into Canada, and is currently creating a database of contact names and addresses for th UK - the latter will include more than 2.5 million actively trading businesses along with more than three million business contacts (www.mrweb.com/drno/news7715.htm ). In the future, it also plans to extend into other countries such as Australia, New Zealand and Ireland.

'There is a tremendous demand for quality databases for research, sales and marketing purposes, and for other corporate applications in these markets,' said Vin Gupta, Chairman and CEO. 'At this time there is no single entity filling this need in these countries.'

infoUSA boasts nearly 4 million customers who use its products and services for customer analysis, direct marketing, and telemarketing and to find new customers and grow their sales.
