Omniture Extends Measurement to iPhone

US web analytics firm Omniture has extended its measurement capabilities to help marketers and developers better understand how iPhone users are interacting with applications.

Omniture SiteCatalyst provides marketers with real-time intelligence to help them identify profitable paths taken through their web sites, determine where visitors are navigating away from their site, and identify success metrics for online marketing campaigns.

A new App Measurement for iPhone has now been added to the tool, to measure and analyze mobile Internet experiences.

'Omniture is taking its innovation in web analytics and extending it to the iPhone not only to help clients better understand their customers, but also to coordinate and integrate mobile, online and offline initiatives,' said CTO and VP of Products, Brett Error. 'We believe the result is to create a better, and more profitable, customer experience, whether that experience is on a web site or a mobile device.'
