Another Senior Change at comScore

December 15 2017

comScore CFO Gregory Fink has been appointed as the company's Principal Accounting Officer Elect, replacing Michelle Spencer, who had only served in the role since last January. No explanation has yet been given.

Gregory FinkFink (pictured) joined in October as EVP, Finance, after eleven years at mortgage giant Fannie Mae (The Federal National Mortgage Association). Three weeks later, he was promoted to the role of Chief Finance Officer, replacing David Chemerow, who resigned in September to 'pursue other opportunities'. Fink has now replaced Spencer, who had previously served as Deputy CFO and Chief Accounting Officer at Rentrak, prior to its 2015 takeover by comScore.

Since the firm admitted to 'accounting irregularities' nearly two years ago, it has seen the departure of three CEOs - including the company's founders Magid Abraham and Gian Fulgoni - three CFOs and nearly a dozen Board members. Last week, the company reported plans to cut 175 jobs, representing around 10 percent of its workforce, and costing around $10m to $12m in severance pay and other expenses. In a regulatory filing, comScore said the reduction was being implemented 'following management's determination to reduce staffing levels and exit certain geographic regions, in order to decrease global costs'. Most employees impacted by the reduction will leave the company by the end of this year, and the remainder are expected to depart in the first quarter of 2018.

Earlier this month, COO Cameron Meierhoefer stepped down from his role, but remains as a Special Advisor until March 30th, 2018.
